I'm Courtney
Tech nerd, systems enthusiast, and recovering perfectionist who's obsessed with making things work better. (Also a fantasy book addict, but we'll get to that in a minute.)
The "Professional" Stuff
Plot twist: I didn't start out in tech.
I spent over a decade in corporate and community health leadership as a dieititan, managing large-scale wellbeing programs and directing operations that served thousands of people.

That experience taught me two crucial things:
- I have a weird love for making complex systems simple
- Most software is not designed by people who actually use it
After building my own successful private practice and web design business (which is still going strong - Declet Designs), I kept running into the same problem - the tech tools we use are powerful, but they're often overwhelming and not set up in a way that makes sense for creative businesses.
That's when I realized: I could help other creative business owners stop fighting with their tech and start actually using it.
What I do now
These days, I help creative business owners make their client portals and project management systems actually work for them.

My Approach
I believe in:
- Making tech simple (but not dumbed down)
- Creating systems that actually match how you work
- Teaching you to fish (but also being willing to fish for you if you hate fishing)
- Never using the phrase "level up your business" (seriously, who talks like that?)
The "Fun" Stuff
When I'm not geeking out over automations or reorganizing something in ClickUp,you can find me:
Reading sci-fi and fantasy books (usually Sarah J. Maas or Michael Crichton, and yes, I will recommend books if you ask)
Hanging out with my high school sweetheart husband (who I still won’t let forget that he knocked out my contact lens while dancing at prom)
Being climbed on either my children, Oliver (dog), Finnick (cat), and occasionally Calliope (cat who only acknowledges my existence when my husband isn’t home)
Drinking way too much coffee while rearranging my own systems for the millionth time
